The Next Three Days

What are you gonna do for your loved one, if somebody held them captive?

Directed by Paul Haggis, this movie shows how a man would do anything when faced with a desperate situation.

John Brennan (Russell Crowe), whose wife Lara Brennan (Elizabeth Banks) was charged with murder, finds himself learning how to use a gun and breaks into prison.
If you ever wonder why people rob the banks or kills for self protection, then you would clearly see the intention that goes on their mind before the act.

A precious family, is the most important thing in the world. And one really needs to learn how to appreciate it...

What are you gonna do for your family the "next three days" ? Is it a hug? A present? Or just a greeting card?
Christmas is coming soon : )

Check out the sexy Elizabeth Banks!

An American actress, she is married to sportswriter and producer Max Handelman, who was her boyfriend since her college days.

She is now 36 years old but still looks as hot as ever.

The Chronicles Of Narnia : The Voyage Of The Dawn Trader

Love Narnia, love the magic of it, and most of all, the imagination of C. S. Lewis.

I can still recall the first time I watched Narnia, with the four children going into the cupboard and coming out to an entirely magical world. Maybe that is what we dream of at night...

This is the 3rd of the Narnia series, and under the guidance of Azlan, what adventures greets them this round?

In this movie, Lucy and Edmund were brought back to Narnia with their cousin Eustace. Joining the King of Narnia (Caspian), their mission is to rescue the seven lost lords to save Narnia. In a way, each of them are tested along this journey of adventure.

Now, is not this similar to our own journey in life? Being tested and at the same time, being an adventure? So how can you say that this is only for children? (winks)

Check out this soundtrack featuring Georgie (Lucy) and Anna (Susan). Makes you feel young again : )

Lelio Popo

Hilarious!

Mini argument?

This movie was directed Adrian Teh, featuring the pretty Mindee Ong (from Singapore) and the absolute favourites -- KK and Ah Luke (radio deejay duo).

Now, you might wonder, why Lelio?
It is actually the equivalent of the word Radio... (faint)

Popo = Granny.
Both equals out to be Radio Grannys! This is because both deejays have disguised themselves as old ladies.

Super happy soundtrack : )

Rapunzel - Tangled

Now, who would not like some mischief from the pretty Rapunzel?

Coming from a Walt Disney animation production, featuring the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levy, Tangled is no longer just about the lovely girl with super long hair waiting for the prince to rescue her...

She now has some aces up her sleeve (or hair), and she demands that the guy brings her out of the world she is in. It is clear that girls with long hair have much more to do than just sit around up at the tower (chuckles).

Zackery Levy (the voice of Flynn Rider) is definitely a character to look forward to. He looks like a bandit, sounds like a bandit, and acts like one!

He is 30 years old, duets with Katherine Mcphee, duets with Mandy Moore on one of the Tangled soundtrack, is a sports car and motorcycle enthusiast, and a Christian.

But most of all....Chameleon!

Check out this special clip on Chameleon and you will fall in love with this creature...

The Social Network

Watch this movie and you will never feel the same way again about Facebook…

Adopted from the non-fiction novel The Accidental Billionaires, this movie brings you into the world of studenthood, hackers, lawsuits, and the price one has to pay for fame. Watch how the creator of Facebook brilliantly change the original idea of a social network for Harvard into a world wide phenomenon...

Does the movie sounds bored? Not really. Check out Justin Timberlake (as Sean Parker). He is the only person who speaks like a star in the movie, plus he makes a good character in breaking peace. Sean Parker was the brilliant mind who co-founded Napster, and the only person besides Mark who believed Facebook could go beyond Harvard grounds. So it does not matter if he breaks into some pretty tense situations. Hehe... Justifying, justifying...

Check out this 80s specs:

Jesse Eisenberg (as Mark Zuckerberg) is not the jerk he seems to portray at the beginning of the movie. So try not to be too harsh with him…. I admit that he does not seem to be a likable enough character. But hey, his brain is made of cells which allowed Facebook to come into reality.

Even if he seems evil at times....

Do they look alike?

Does friendship stands the test of fame? It is ironic that the greatest social network was the result of severely breaking social ties...

"Disagreement always arise in the phase of creating something great, and Facebook is no exception."
Haha, I could not believe I just said that.

Wanna make a billion dollars? Create another kind of facebook!

Why Is Megamind's Head Blue?

Ah Megamind, you just can’t help but to like him. But why is his head blue?

Dreamworks did a great job here, to portray the villain from birth. And a great big blue head did the trick. One would expect a lovelier color for the main character. I associate blue creatures with aliens.

But surprise, the voice behind this blue creature is…. Will Ferrell??

See? I could not imagine it, so funny, so intelligent, so…innocent. Picture him saying, “Maybe I don’t want to be the bad guy anymore.” And imagine yourself having a zero response. Will Ferrell is well suited to the type.

To some, this movie may be another version of beauty and the beast. But here, the beast has brains…

A character that most would love is Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey). I like her style - impatient, careless, and truthful.

But Brad Pitt as Metroman? It just doesn’t suit him. Yet, wonders of all, his animated character shows otherwise.

And the cutest thing in the movie? Minion : )

Check out who is the voice behind Minion:

Buried – Only Watch This If You Have Art Sense

Am I an artist? Or will I one day think of myself being buried this way?

These are the two questions revolving around my mind when I was watching this movie. Being inspired in the beginning, that this movie was about how a man tries to find his way out of a coffin, through his cell phone, in the middle of a dessert….sounds challenging?

Well, after I was all geared up for action packed, thrilling plots, and an image of sitting on the edge of my seat for the entire movie, I was… surprised. Why would anyone want to film a movie like that? Did the director perceive a ready audience for this? I think, the answer is yes, if, and only if, you have an art sense.

First of all, it is not easy to film the movie from the first motion to the last, in a coffin. Second, it is not easy for the audience to feel like they are in the coffin for the entire film. Third, it is not easy at all, to have an appreciative palate for such earthly taste.

Watch it and you will know what I mean.

After you’ve watched it, and only after you have watched it, you can proceed to the below you tube trailer to have a good laugh:

Mixed Feelings On The Movie Eat Pray Love

I would not have expected these mixed feelings as I came out of the theater watching Julia Roberts (as Elizabeth Gilberts). On one hand, it is being happy for her for finally finding her self, and her true love. On the other hand, there is a reaction that this movie is really not suitable for ordinary people like you and me…

This story talks about how a woman who had everything left her husband to search for the true meaning of life. She had an affair with a younger man (James Franco), and left him after realizing that there is a vast difference between them. 3 places she visited – Bali, Italy and India.

All my dreams of meditating in India disappeared after I watched this movie. Insects and meditation does not go well with me…

One bright point in this movie is Spanish actor – Javier Bardem (husband of Penelope Cruz). I convinced myself that he is the reason why I have sat through all those minutes of mosquitoes (mentally), missing tooth (from the Bali guru), and mental confusion (from a person who is in search of herself).

On a lighter note, this movie is truly suitable for those who are at a crossroad of their lives, where the choice between staying in a rut and individual freedom is looming in your everyday life.

Resident Evil Afterlife – All In For A Zombie Killing Spree?

I was forewarned that this movie will be full of zombies, and I was not disappointed. Directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, this movie is action-packed, zombie-packed, and most of all, I was on the edge of my seat through out the motions.

Milla Jovovich has again showed what a woman can be – strong, sexy and full of sleek moves. Ali Larter’s supporting role makes the flow of the story runs super smooth. Coupled with the appearance of Wentworth Miller (most famous for his role in Prison Break), which adds in that something extra.

I was just wondering, how come his hair has grown that much in Resident Evil Afterlife?

 (Wentworth Miller with less hair…)

Absolutely love the aircrafts and Milla Jovovich’s eyes in this movie. Makes me think of war and ice cream. Weird, but true.

(Milla Jovovich’s beautiful eyes...)

Can’t wait for the 5th sequel…

Inception – is the ending a dream or reality?

I am facing the truth here. This movie Inception has kept me up just to think about what the ending means. Is the ending a dream or reality? I have also asked numerous colleagues, and the answers are all different.

“I think he is still in the dream.”

“Nope, he is already awake. He opened his eyes in the flight, remember?”

“My guess is that he is living in his wife’s dream!”

“What about the part when he woke up on the shores? Is that a dream too?”

Seems that the debate is around “in a dream or not” or “whose dream is it”. Well, if you think that is absurd, consider this: “There was one morning, when I woke up, and wonder if I am living in my dream world or reality. I looked around and searched desperately for my totem…” Can you beat that?

Putting all questions aside, I must say that this movie was brilliant, the script was brilliant (it was based on a nine years research done by Christopher Nolan, mainly on lucid dreaming and the concept of dream incubations.).

Just keeping an open mind here, and yeah, I still think about the ending. Is the ending a dream or a reality? Is Leonardo DiCaprio the best actor on earth? Did he really go further with Marion Cotillard? Do I need to say more? Of course I will watch Inception again.

Check out this funny conversation between Leonardo and Guillaume Canet (Cortillard’s partner):

Haha... Sherry, don't kill me...
